creative process

This is done through the provision of a varied range of schemes of work at all levels, hinged on excellent resources and expert knowledge, where students are encouraged to investigate and understand genres and concepts, respond creatively and take risks, analyse and learn from the work of others and develop practical skills which enable them to communicate their own ideas.

Art is an integral part of the curriculum for students in grades 6 – 8. The department offers GCSE Art as an option to students in grades 9 and 10 and follows the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts course for students in grades 11 and 12. The department also prepares students for further study of the subject and related courses at a higher level.
